This website offers basic information about the animal crisis in Israel and links to Rescue Groups. The main crisis is in the Negev region; hundreds of stray dogs and cats live close to towns or Bedouin settlements. They live in a harsh climate and face many dangers. Arad LeHai, close to the Dead Sea
Arad LeHai does incredible work rescuing stray dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. Arad has a huge population of stray dogs and cats, living in extreme conditions, some live in Landfills in the desert, with no water and no shelter. They also face dangers and the puppies often lose their life as they compete for food with larger animals.
Unfortunately, Arad LeHai does not have a physical shelter. They depend on volunteers and your donations to continue saving lives. They also need large amounts of food, to feed stray dogs & cats in Arad and the peripheral area near Arad.
Arad LeHai is an official Animal Rescue Non Profit organization.
Help Dogs & puppies in Yeruham (Negev Region)
Bat EL feeds dozens of stray dogs everyday in Yeruham. She also rescues dogs and takes them to the veterinary clinic. The expenses are huge, she depends on donations. Yuval's sanctuary-farm houses and rehabilitates 200 dangerous dogs
Most stray dogs are well behaved, but some dogs have undergone trauma and can be dangerous. Yuval is a very courageous animal rescuer. He rehabilitates dangerous dogs and Pit-bulls and looks after them in his sanctuary- farm.
Yuval has been rescuing and rehabilitating dangerous dogs for 25 years. His sanctuary has 200 dogs, this is their permanent home. But more dogs need Yuval's help, since dangerous dogs cannot be adopted. Yuval is their last chance, if he doesn't take them, the authorities euthanize the dogs! Yuval needs your help urgently! Taking care of the dogs is very expensive. Please consider donating to this important cause that saves Lives!
Keren Or Sanctuary
Keren Or means Ray of Light. This is the name of a rehabilitation sanctuary near Tel-Aviv, that cares of more than 450 animals who have experienced neglect, abuse or were abandoned.
In these dark times this sanctuary is still a ray of light for rescued animals.

Freedom Farm Sanctuary
Freedom Farm Sanctuary is an educational center and a sanctuary for animals rescued from the food industries. Located in central Israel. Your donation is their Freedom!
The sanctuary was created out of a vision shared by hundreds of thousands in Israel, who aspire to make a significant change in the attitude of human beings towards other earthly creations.
We dream to one day live side by side in harmoniously without hurting, abusing or exploiting them.
The Israeli Bat Sanctuary
Amutat ATALEF (an NPO) was established in order to help, treat, and rehabilitate fruit bats, and then release those who are able back to nature.
The sanctuary treats bats from all over Israel, who were found wounded, sick, orphaned or exhausted.
Help the Bat Sanctuary, so they can buy delicious fruit for rescued and injured bats.
Adopt an older dog; they are a wonderful companion, they behave well. Veterinary costs covered.
Older dogs are well behaved, its not a long term commitment, since they are at the end of their life. Get support from Let the Animals Live, they will cover all the veterinary costs for their entire life time. Its a wonderful feeling to know that you saved a senior dog from a miserable life on the streets or in a shelter.

Animal crisis in Israel, numbers & a bit of politics
Year 2025- 184,342 Animals (wild life) were exterminated by Israel's Nature and Parks Authority. (or indirectly by them; as they give permits to hunt animals; in order to drastically reduce the population.)
When residents complained that peacocks were making noise in northern Israel, the solution was to kill all 200 of them, without a second thought. This is the mindset and attitude of Israeli authorities toward animals in Israel, at this time.
Some of the animals who were targeted; Beautiful peacocks, alligators, wild pigs & Jackals. This number does not include stray dogs, who are also killed by the Nature and Parks Authority and the Agriculture Ministry. Please sign: Petition - to stop killing dogs.

Yasmin Fridman is wonderful person, she is a Knesset Member who fights to improve Animal Welfare in Israel, she is a proud Be'er Sheva resident!
Tal Gilboa on the other hand has done absolutely nothing, as you can see by the staggering numbers above. Tal is supposed to be an animal activist and belongs to the Likud party. She is apparently more concerned about her political career than resolving the animal crisis in Israel.

France - is a game changer; selling dogs is not allowed. Israel needs to take it a step further and forbid dog breeding, until all the stray dogs find a homes!
